Steak and Prime Rib in Baltimore, Maryland – Best Restaurants for Meat Lovers

Baltimore, Maryland was founded in 1729, and has been one of the country’s largest cities ever since. Today it is known as “a city of neighborhoods”, with more than 70 unique areas each with their own culture and ethnicity. Sports fans will know the NFL Baltimore Ravens (Super Bowl XLVII 2013 Champions) and the Baltimore Orioles with now retired third baseman Cal Ripken, Jr. Baltimore is a great town to visit, and has its own distinct dialect: don’t be surprised if you hear locals referring to the city as “balmer” in some areas, while “baldamore” in others. The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra calls this city home, in addition to the Maryland Film Festival, and Peabody Institute, part of the Johns Hopkins University (one of the city’s top employers). The last Civil War era floating vessel, the USS Constellation, remains docked in this historic port city. Visit “B’More”, “The City of Firsts”, or “Mobtown” 🙂 today!

The Smithsonian, Air and Space Museum, Washington Monument, U.S. Treasury Building, Vietnam Memorial, and countless other exhibits abound in this historic city. D.C. has an active nightlife, with plenty of bars to patronize. You might even bump into your Congressman (hopefully he/she won’t be too drunk), members of the armed forces, and of course lobbyists looking to blow off some steam. Yes, despite the political rancor, the city itself is still a memorable destination, even if you don’t quite agree with every lawmaker in town.

  1. BLT Steak

At this classy but not stuffy steak palace, an NYC import near the White House, beautiful, big slabs of meat and signature huge popovers star in a power-laden setting with a swanky, French bistro kind of feel (with a few French menu selections, added post-Survey); such great quality and service don’t come cheap, but for those who want to dine with politicians it’s worth the big bucks.

  2. Medium Rare

This Cleveland Parker keeps it simple and does it well with a single no-choices set menu for $19.50, consisting of bread, salad, crispy fries and a dry-aged sirloin cap done perfectly, plus a big surprise: second helpings; the friendly staff herds dishes through the noisy modern bistro or to a patio with terrific people-watching, and while add-ons like smartly selected wines and beers and huge desserts drive up costs, it’s still an excellent value. P.S. a new branch in a Capitol Hill townhouse features the same concept.

San Antonio is one of Texas’ crown jewels. With a population in excess of 1.3 million loyal citizens, it’s safe to say this city is on the up and up. Of course, history buffs will recall San Antonio’s prime tourist attraction is The Alamo, fully accessible to visitors curious about one of the nation’s most important battles in recorded history. That makes destinations like the Riverwalk quite popular during the holidays, when this classic American thoroughfare is decked in lights and ornaments. The famous Alamo Bowl also takes place during the waning days of the year, a great diversion for college football fans. “The Alamo City” has everything you want and more! Don’t mess with Texas! 🙂

Steakhouse and Prime Rib in Boise Idaho – Get Real Meat with Your Potatoes

Boise, Idaho – pronounced “BOY-see” by the locals – is the largest city in the United States between Salt Lake City and Portland, Oregon. Although not as populous compared to other cities we’ve featured, Boise is pleasant and full of enough people to keep things happening at 615,000+ citizens. Boise State University is one of the largest attractions, particularly for those that follow college sports. It is also one of the city’s largest employers. Hewlett-Packard, Walmart, and St. Luke’s Health System also drive the local economy. The climate is considered arid, with comfortable temperatures year round, ideal for outdoor activities: hiking, biking, running, skiing, cross-country skiing, and “snow-machining”. Of course, the city itself has a rich cultural and arts community, full of uncommon stories waiting to be heard. Welcome to the “City of Trees!” 🙂

Austin Steak and Prime Rib Restaurants – The Capital of Texas Has it All

Austin is the capital of Texas, the 2nd largest capital city in the USA, with over 840,000 citizens. This classic Texas city was settled after settlers founded it while traveling the Colorado River in 1837. Since then, it has steadily grown as a center of education, politics, and commerce. It is one of the largest cities in the USA without a professional sports franchise. As a result, Austinites support the University of Texas Longhorns football team, a perennial contender in the BCS top 10. “Keep Austin Weird” is the theme of the arts and culture community, proudly displayed on bumper stickers. Fans of music will not be disappointed: Austin is known as “The Live Music Capital of the World“, with more venues per capita than any other city. The happening night clubs on 6th street and annual “South by Southwest” festival make Austin a must-see stop on any music lovers tour. The Zachary Scott Theatre and Paramount Theatre are also popular attractions. Welcome to memorable Austin, Texas!

San Jose California Steakhouses and Beeferies – Prime Rib for Silicon Valley

The seat of Santa Clara County, San Jose is the third largest city in California and the tenth largest in the entire USA. It also bears the title “Capital of Silicon Valley” after the immense internet technology surge beginning in the 1990s. It is an affluent city full of young professionals and venture capitalists alike. It’s hard to believe high temperatures exceed 100 degrees in a town that boasts the San Jose Sharks NHL team, but then again people need an excuse to cool off! Of course, a burgeoning local economy also gives rise to a diversity of high quality cuisine, inspired by local master chefs and recent immigrant populations. Enjoy “San Jo”! 🙂
